Female Euro 08 views

I've been watching Euro 2008.
Being Polish, and living in a traditional European household, it's hard not to watch football, or as you Aussies dubbed it, soccer.
With a subscription to Satanta Sports Live, I stay up at all hours watching the best European countries battle it out in a quest to be Euro 08 Champions.
And as any patriot, I back my country of origin - Poland.
Dismal loss against Germany the other day, I must say I was quite upset when Podolski, a Polish-born player, ended up scoring two goals for the nazis.
Now I've got nothing against Germans, but people from back in history might quite not agree with me on that one.
Anyway, if it wasn't for Lukas Podolski and his two brilliant goals for the German team, we would have been in with a chance at beating them for the first time.
They say there's a first time for everything.
Clearly this wasn't that time.
But Poland is playing Austria next (I have a habit of writing 'Australia' when I write Austria, because my typing is just a little too fast. So what I'm a computer nerd..what are you?)
I have a good feeling about this match.
I will be up at 4.30am watching my country either win and get through to play the decider against Croatia, or get knocked out of the competition altogether.
I'm opting for the first one.
GO POLSKA.
I can hear some match going on in the background live on Satanta sports, as it's on my laptop. Quite good quality. Then again, it IS cable.
But I wish I had cable as in cable TV.
Goddamn all you who can immerse yourself in your favourite TV shows on Foxtel while sitting in bed munching on various sweets and junk food.
I envy you.
*Turns green*
Ok, the colour has appeared to return to my face.
And I'm about to head to sleep.
But before I head off, I just want to comment on the Italy v Netherlands match that was played the other morning.
I am not a morning person.
My idea of getting up early is at 10am.
So you can imagine how tired I was at 4.30am when I watched the Azzurri play against the Dutch.
I had a sneaking suspicion there could be the possibility of the Orange army causing a slight upset by having a victory over the 2006 World Cup Champions.
And indeed there was a surprising upset.
3-0 to Holland.
Sneijder had a brilliant, classy goal in the 31st minute.
It was one of those, can't take your eye off the match matches.
I didn't even want to get up to make myself a cup of tea.
Oh how I love tea.
I'm about to make myself a cuppa now.
You can join me if you like.

G'night all.

A Long Time Coming

Well well well.
It's been a long time coming for me to post a blog.
Writing has been apart of my life since I could read and write.
I haven't had time to write about, well anything in fact, apart from assignments that I've had to do for my course at uni for the past 6 months.
So this is quite nice, just to get back into the swing of things and getting my creative writing groove back.
This blog will contain sometimes trivial, sometimes useful, sometimes humourous, and sometimes serious, information and stories, on basically anything and everything.
Be prepared to read about whatever.
Beware: I'm random.

Much love,
Sandra
